The speckle brightness phase aberration correction technique has been modified to use data from only selected elements. Simulations have demonstrated that this modification improves phase extraction performance. Initial results indicate that it performs well in correcting receive phase errors. Speckle brightness phase correction has also previously suffered from a slow speed of implementation. A parallel processing system has been developed to implement this technique in real-time. This system uses 16-to-1 parallel processing to calculate quality factors for multiple temporal and spatial phase alignments simultaneously.
