Implementation considerations for a doubly-steered, coherently-focussed high-resolution broadband beamformer for source location estimation

It is demonstrated that the doubly steered, coherently focused broadband beamformer implementation is a practically viable technique for source location estimation in an underwater acoustic environment. Various simple relationships among the key parameters are given. Other aspects of practical significance are briefly discussed.
