A 4μA-quiescent-current dual-mode buck converter IC for cellular phone applications

This digitally-controlled buck converter IC occupies 2mm 2 active area in 0.25μm CMOS, and the quiescent current is 4μA representing more than a 3-fold improvement over the leading state-of-the-art analog approach. As a result, cellular phone standby time can be extended by up to 3 times.
