Overview
Adeli Hutton is a graduate student in the Department of Statistical Science at Duke, and she completed an MS in biostatistics at Harvard University, an MA in mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis, and a BFA in ballet and mathematics at the University of Cincinnati. She previously served in three data-driven offices in federal government as a Presidential Management Fellow in data scientist, policy advisor, and deputy director positions. Prior to working in civil service, she worked on math, statistics, and data science projects at Washington University in St. Louis, Johns Hopkins University, and the Institute for Advanced Studies. She also created, co-led, and served as a team lead on STEM community engagement projects, research opportunities for undergraduates, and enrichment experiences for K-12 students at Washington University in St. Louis, Emory University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Harvard University, and the Institute for Advanced Studies.
