Overview


Anisha is a PhD student in Cultural Anthropology. Her research explores historical and contemporary connections between the Gulf region in the Middle East and South Asia through the lens of migration and mobility. 

 

Prior to joining the Cultural Anthropology program at Duke, Anisha was a research intern at the South Asia Institute of Advanced Studies in Kathmandu, Nepal, where she was involved in a project that looked at women's economic empowerment in rural Nepal. She holds a bachelor's degree in Cultures and Movements from Duke Kunshan University.
