Overview

I am Bruna De Oliveira Rech, a Brazilian dentist with specialization and a master’s degree in the care of people with special health care needs. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Population Health Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine.

In Brazil, I was one of the founders of a dental clinic for children with disabilities in a free hospital in my home state of Santa Catarina. I have also participated in humanitarian missions in Angola and rural Brazil, experiences that deepened my commitment to addressing inequities in health care access and delivery.

My work is driven by a commitment to people with disabilities and those who care for them. I am dedicated to bringing caregivers’ perspectives into health policy, and I hope to one day contribute directly to shaping more inclusive policies for people with disabilities.
