Chester Yarbrough
Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery
Chester Yarbrough, MD, NPHS is assistant professor of neurosurgery at Duke University, and is the Associate Medical Director for Supply Chain for Duke University Health System.
His clinical practice focuses on the surgical management of spinal diseases. He has special interest in the treatment of cervical spine disease, complex cervical, thoracic, and lumbar deformities, and in minimally invasive spine surgery.
Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Yarbrough is involved in several areas of business operations for the Department of Neurosurgery and for Duke University Health System. In May 2019, he was chosen to work with the health system to develop a clinically-integrated supply chain with dual physician and executive leadership.
Dr. Yarbrough received his undergraduate degree at Princeton University, and his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. He completed an advanced degree in statistics and clinical research at Washington University in St. Louis. He completed neurosurgical residency at Washington University in St. Louis, and a complex spine fellowship at the University of Utah.
