Overview
Elisha Myers, MD, MSc, is a resident in the Department of Dermatology. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida in 2020, followed by a Master's degree in Global Health from Trinity College Dublin, in Dublin, Ireland, in 2024. Dr. Myers then earned her medical degree from Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine in Boca Raton, FL in 2025. Before coming to Duke, Dr. Myers completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Why did you choose Duke for residency training?
After completing an away rotation at Duke, I knew it was where I wanted to train. The faculty and support staff were welcoming and invested in resident education in a way that was immediately apparent. The attendings are remarkably specialized and in every clinic, I found myself working alongside leaders in their respective fields of dermatology. The patient population is diverse, and the breadth of pathology seen across the clinics reflects that, providing the kind of exposure that I knew would push me to become the best dermatologist I could be. What ultimately sealed my decision was the residents. They were genuinely happy, spoke highly of the program, and benefited from flexible scheduling that reflects Duke Dermatology’s commitment to resident wellbeing. It is a privilege to be a part of this program, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity.
