Overview

I am a PhD student in Cultural Anthropology at Duke University. My research examines how sports gambling in Colombia entangles desire, technology, and finance, focusing on gamblers as heterogeneous subjects navigating speculation, uncertainty, and risk. I hold an MA (2023) and BA (2021) in Anthropology, as well as a BA in Political Science (2021) from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. I have worked as a consultant for UNDP and Swisspeace. I am currently a Graduate Researcher at The Health, Ethnography, and Race through Sports (HEARTS) Lab at Duke.
