Overview
Guru earned his B.S. in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2023. As an undergraduate, his research centered around using C. elegans to study chemical reprotoxicity and elucidating the role of mitochondria in contributing to metabolic disorders. Now at Duke, he looks at the effects of heavy metals, PAHs, and cannabinoids on the developing brain. Outside the lab, Guru is usually either reading, at bookstores, or running.
