Overview
Julia SatoĊa (she/her) is a history Ph.D. student studying modern Russian and Eastern European history. Her research interests include Soviet social, gender, and economic history, with an emerging interest in transnational approaches that situate the Soviet Union within the context of neighboring Eastern European countries, particularly Poland.
Julia is fluent in Polish and maintains a B2 level in Russian. In the past, she has conducted funded research in the Polish Archive of Modern Records in Warsaw (Archiwum Akt Nowych w Warszawie).
