Matthew Vestal
Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery

Dr. Vestal is Pediatric Neurosurgeon specializing in Epilepsy Surgery and other pediatric neurosurgical conditions.  His passion is bringing cutting edge technology into the operating room, leading clinical trials to advance the care of pediatric patients, and providing his patients the best imaginable neurosurgical care.  He is a world leader in the fledgling field of gene therapy for heretofore untreatable neurologic illnesses.

Current Research Interests

Dr. Vestal is interested in the intersection of cutting edge technology and neurosurgery and is currently conducting research in the use of augmented reality and holograms in the operating room.  Clinically his research interests lie in the fields of Epilepsy Neurosurgery and the fledgling field of gene therapy in neurosurgery.
