Fellowships, Gifts, and Supported Research

Development of a near-commercial prototype of multispark lithotripter · July 2025 - July 2027 Awarded by: North Carolina Biotechnology Center The SAFE technology treats kidney stones using focused shockwaves from modulated sources. By adjusting the treatment focus to overlap the moving stone’s trajectory, urologists can achieve better results in less time. This is particularly valuable for NC residents, who experience some of the highest kidney stone rates in the nation.
