Overview


Qi is a PhD student in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Duke University. Prior to Duke, he received his MS in Statistics from the University of Washington and BEng in Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University.
His primary research interest lies in the design and analysis of clinical trials, especially cluster randomized trials. He is also interested in integrating clinical trials with other fields, such as causal inference, to improve current methods in clinical trial research. He is particularly motivated by the applied areas that significantly affect marginalized communities, such as HIV, mental disorders, and social stigma.
