Assistant Professor of English Language at Duke Kunshan University
I am an Assistant Professor of English Language at the Language and Culture Center at Duke Kunshan University in Kunshan China. Currently I work with the graduate programs at DKU, teaching courses in graduate communication including academic writing and oral communication. I also work as a writing tutor for both the graduate and undergraduate students.
My research interests focus on comparative rhetoric, composition pedagogy, and L2 writing. I received my PhD from Purdue University in 2017, where I studied Rhetoric & Composition and Second Language Studies. I also earned an MFA in poetry from Brown University in 2005. Previously I have taught academic and argumentative writing, ESL, and poetry at Purdue, Academy of Art University, and Brown.
