Overview
Yixuan Yang is a PhD student in the Kamaleswaran Lab at Duke University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, where he works under the guidance of Prof. Rishi Kamaleswaran. His research interests center on Large Language Models (LLMs) and representation learning, with particular emphasis on instruction tuning and advancing reasoning capabilities in complex, unstructured environments.
Yang completed his undergraduate studies at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in May 2024. He graduated as a Distinguished Graduate of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and was awarded the Guo Xie Bi Rong Fellowship. During his undergraduate career, his academic work was supervised by Prof. Xin Yao. He also studied at the University of California, Berkeley as an exchange student. Additionally, he conducted research as a visiting student at Tsinghua University under the supervision of Prof. Xinlei Chen.
