Overview

I am a PhD student in Cultural Anthropology at Duke University. Before coming to Duke, I studied Sociology and Anthropology at Middlebury College. My research interests center on rural migrant workers' experiences, negotiations, and restructuring of boundaries and spaces in China's transforming rural-urban dynamic and industrial transformation. With such interests, I work in manufacturing factories and urban villages in Shenzhen, focusing on the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the "urban village reformation projects."
