Overview
Abby H. Shepherd is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Romance Studies at Duke University, where she also pursues a graduate certificate in Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies. Her research traces sartorial expressions of identity in literature and cinema. Particularly, she focuses on the fictive representations of dress in nineteenth- and twentieth-century Metropolitan France and Francophone Louisiana through material analysis. She holds a B.A. in French from Auburn University, and her academic writing appears in MDPI Arts.
