Overview
Abram Smith is a 4th year PhD student in the History Department. His research interests lie in business history, global value chains, and agricultural export economies of the 20th century Middle East. His dissertation research focuses on the industries processing and readying cotton for export in interwar Egypt, particularly the cotton ginning industry.
