Achille Castaldo
Teaching Assistant

My areas of specialization are Modern and Contemporary Italian and French Literature, Aesthetics of Cinema, and Literary theory. My work focuses on the rhetorical forms through which literature and cinema are able (or imagined) to be politically effective in the materiality of conflicts.

Current Research Interests

I am currently working on the intersection of ideology and aesthetics in literary and cinematic objects produced during moments of unrest from the end of World War II to the Seventies.
