Overview
I am an outpatient family physician, providing care to the rural community of Oxford, NC. As a resident at Duke, I discovered my passion for rural health equity, medical education, and mentorship. I have been able to combine these interests in my role as an Associate Program Director, helping to launch, steward, and innovate the Duke Rural Family Medicine Residency Program. I also am fortunate to teach, advise, and counsel learners much earlier in their educational journey through my position as the Associate Director for Primary Care for the Duke Master of Biomedical Sciences Program. In my varying teaching roles, I have been inspired by the curiosity, creativity, and collaborative spirit that permeates throughout the Duke community, and eagerly prepare to transition into the Program Director role of the Duke Rural Family Medicine Residency Program in July 2024.
