Overview

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Student in Chemistry, 2019 - Present
As a first year chemistry graduate student, I am interested in the intersection between chemistry and medicine. My main interests lie in using organic chemistry and synthetic tools to develop novel methodology for the synthesis of new compounds. I am hoping to apply chemical tools to help with the development of new drugs and biologically active and relevant compounds.

In my undergraduate career, I worked in the Department of Chemistry at UNC-Chapel Hill in the organic division. I also did summer research at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience department, specifically looking at HIV.
