Overview
I lead the FRAME Lab (Critical and Culturally Focused Research to Advance Mental Health Equity), which is dedicated to promoting mental health equity among Indigenous and racially/ethnically marginalized communities through culturally grounded and community-engaged research. We utilize both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to explore the effects of culturally relevant stressors, protective/promotive factors on mental health, well-being, and suicide among marginalized adults/emerging adults. Our work is rooted in critical psychology and Indigenous frameworks, with a focus on reflective scientific practice to advance psychological science’s ability to support health equity.
