Overview


Assil Fahs is a dedicated molecular biologist hailing from Lebanon, passionately engaged in unraveling the mysteries of pediatric cancer and the pivotal role of exosomes within the tumor microenvironment. Assil's academic journey took off at the Lebanese University/American University of Beirut, where she pursued her Ph.D. Her research focused on dissecting the intricate world of rhabdomyosarcoma-derived exosomes. Currently, Assil serves as a Postdoctoral associate in the Department of Pediatrics Hematology/Oncology at Duke University, under the mentorship of the Linardic lab. Apart from her dedication to the scientific world, Assil finds inspiration in the great outdoors, often embarking on hiking adventures that allow her to connect with nature. And through the lens of her camera, she captures the beauty of life, freezing moments in time to share with others. Assil is a scientist driven by curiosity and a passion for making a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer.
