Overview
I am a graduate student in the Cell and Molecular Biology program at Duke University. I completed my bachelor degree in biological science at University of Pittsburgh and my master degree in Tumor biology at Georgetown University. At Georgetown, I worked in Dr. Roy’s Lab in long-patch base excision repair in cancer cells. After graduation, I have entered Dr. Li Lan’s lab at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, focusing on understanding the mechanism of a meiotic protein SYCP2 for its novel function in R-loop dependent DSB repair and its resistance in DNA damaging reagents. Currently, I joined in Lan Lab at Duke SoM, department of MGM and studying some new targets involved in the R-loop dependent HR pathway and its importance in tumorigenesis. Outside of lab, I enjoy watching movies, novels, going to concerts and playing the flute.
