Dr. Caroline Saulino joins the Division of Behavioral Medicine within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences as a full-time medical psychologist with the DUH Transplant Services. She relocates from Detroit, Michigan where she most recently served as senior staff psychologist at Henry Ford Hospital, working in the areas of solid organ transplantation/mechanical circulatory support, structural heart disease, bariatrics, and general consultation-liaison psychology. Prior to her staff appointment, she completed a two-year, health psychology postdoctoral fellowship in transplant medicine and chronic pelvic pain at Henry Ford, in affiliation with Wayne State University School of Medicine. She obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Her primary clinical and research interests include adjustment to chronic medical conditions, healthy life-style change to reduce health risk and improve prognosis/treatment adherence, as well as programmatic development to enhance overall patient care.
