Chelsea is a Ph.D. candidate in the Vertebrate Genetics Lab
at Duke with Craig Lowe. She is a student in the University Program in Genetics & Genomics (UPGG)
and affiliated with the Molecular Genetics & Microbiology (MGM) department.
Chelsea is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF-GRFP) awardee. She completed her Bachelors of Science at the University of Central Florida in Molecular Biology & Microbiology. Prior to graduate school, Chelsea served in Teach For America as a South Carolina high school science teacher.
Current Research Interests
Understanding the relationship between genetic variation of tandem repeats and nearby gene expression.
