Overview
Christopher J. Nash, MD, EdM is a Medical Instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Nash earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and went on to complete his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital & Brigham and Women's Hospital, earning the Resident Teacher of the Year Award in his final year of training. After completing a master's degree in education and a fellowship in medical education at MGH, Dr. Nash relocated to Durham to join the faculty at Duke. He has a research interest in program evaluation, digital scholarship, digital simulation. He also has an interest in training clinicians in the practice of telehealth, earning grant funding from the Association of American Medical Colleges to pursue the creation of an equity- and access-focused communication training experience. Outside of Duke, Dr. Nash is heavily involved in the Academic Life in Emergency Medicine (ALiEM) team, serving as Associate Director of Growth for the main site and the Chief Technology Officer for Academic Life in Emergency Medicine University (ALiEMU). Dr. Nash is elated to have joined the Department of Emergency Medicine at Duke, and he looks forward to building a long career here in Durham.
