Christoph Schmitz
Student
Christoph studied Philosophy, Cultural Studies, and Chinese Studies at the University of Leipzig and at Cheng Gung University in Taiwan. After graduation, he served as German language instructor and tester at the Goethe Language Center in Qingdao, China. Since joining the CDG in 2015, he has focused on studying contemporary German fiction, the impact of recording technologies on literary texts, and problems of documentary literature. In recent years, his presentations at conferences included papers on writers and topics such as Walter Benjamin, Red Vienna, Thomas Bernhard, and Christian Kracht.
