As a physician-investigator my research focus is to identify new therapies and strategies to improve outcomes in persons living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). In pursuit of this goal, I've focused my research in the following areas: 1) clinical trial investigation of novel COPD therapeutics, 2) investigating mechanisms responsible for the treatment response to pulmonary rehabilitation through an aging lens, and 3) risk of cardiovascular disease in COPD.
