Overview
Christopher Petsko is a Postdoctoral Associate at Duke University, where he holds appointments in both the Fuqua School of Business and the Samuel DuBois Cook Center on Social Equity. Prior to arriving at Duke, Christopher completed his doctorate in social psychology at Northwestern University, where he graduated in June of 2020.
At the most general level, Christopher's research examines the ways by which stereotypes get inside our minds and influence how it is that we perceive each other. His sub-speciality, which you can read more about on his website, is on the topic of intersectional stereotyping. This research has received attention from the National Science Foundation on multiple occasions, and it has been published in mainstream social psychological outlets such as Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Social Psychological and Personality Science, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: General.
