Daniel Stephens
Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Duke Kunshan University

Current Research Interests

My current research explores three major lines of questioning. The first is how we should understand the philosophy that took place in ancient China. The second is how we might pursue a naturalized approach to ethics, one that takes seriously what we are learning from moral and social psychology. The third is what relevance the views we can find in ancient Chinese philosophy might have to contemporary discussions of ethics.
