Dmitry Fridman
Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Current Research Interests

My primary study topic is dedicated to pregnancy of unknown location and ectopic pregnancy to optimize diagnosis and management of those condition. My research aims to detect which patients would benefit from medical treatment and which would be able to heal on their own.

Another field I am interested in is ultrasound in gynecology. I have special expertise in saline infusion sonography. Studying this method allows me to detect causes of abnormal bleeding in women, particularly in those in menopause. I combine this method with biopsy minimizing pain and need for additional procedures for my patients.

Lastly I am interested in resident education in gynecologic ultrasound. I am developing curriculum on the subject and evaluating deficiencies in education of this both skill and knowledge based topic.
