Overview


Elise obtained her PhD in Biology at Duke University in April 2025 from the lab of Dr. Anne Yoder where her interests in virology and One Health have led to the discovery of hundreds of viruses from lemurs, rodents, and people in both captive settings at the Duke Lemur Center and natural settings in southeastern Madagascar.
