Emily is a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at Duke University. Her dissertation constructs a concept of human dignity from early Confucian texts. Her research lies at the intersection of moral philosophy, Chinese philosophy, and comparative philosophy. She has secondary interests in political philosophy and the philosophy of economics.
