Overview


Emma Glen (she/her/hers) is a fourth year Classical Studies PhD student with a broad interest in both Greek and Latin literature, particularly tragedy and epic. Her areas of focus include genre, gender in ancient literature, reception studies, translation, and the manifold intersections between these realms. Her dissertation is focused on women's experiences of trauma and the construction of cultural memory in Statius' Thebaid. She received her B.A. in Classics and Comparative Literature from Oberlin College in 2022.
