Emma Hymas

Emma G. Hymas is Publications Specialist in the Department of Cultural Anthropology at Duke University. Since 2005, she has served as research associate and editorial assistant to Professor William M. O’Barr for his scholarship on advertising and society. She assisted in the creation and publication of the online, multimedia textbook, ADText: An Interdisciplinary Curriculum for Advertising in Society (www.adtextonline.org). She produced, filmed, edited, and monitored his online course entitled “Advertising and Society,” available through the Coursera platform for MOOCs.
