Overview
Emma Hymas is Publications Specialist in the Department of Cultural Anthropology at Duke University. Since 2016, she has served as managing editor of Advertising & Society Quarterly. Since 2005, she had promotions from research associate to editorial assistant and finally managing editor by the journal's founding editor, Professor William M. O’Barr. She assisted in the creation and publication of the online, multimedia textbook, ADText: An Interdisciplinary Curriculum for Advertising in Society (www.adtextonline.org). She produced, filmed, edited, and monitored his online course entitled “Advertising and Society,” available through the Coursera platform for MOOCs.
