Jerald Zuying Gong
Adjunct Associate Professor of Pathology

The focus of my research is primarily in two areas: low-invasive diagnostic techniques and lymphoma arising in immune deficiency condition. I apply modern technologies such as flow cytometry, fluorescence in situ hybridization, and polymerase chain reaction in fine-needle aspiration and investigate the utility of these technologies in the diagnosis of lymphoma. The second area of my research interests is post-transplant lymphoma. I study clinical and pathologic features of new lymphoma entities arising in post-transplant condition and investigate the role of genetic mutations and viral infection in the pathogenesis of these lymphomas.
