HyunBin “Binnie” You, MSN, RN, is a PhD student at Duke University School of Nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea. She practiced as a registered nurse in the medical intensive care unit (ICU) from Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul, South Korea. 
Her research focuses on the trajectory of recovery in patients and family caregivers after critical care and transitions in care after their discharge from the hospital. Her long-term goal is to build a career in research investigating transitional care, which reduces negative patient experiences in the ICU, maximizes their resilience, and makes their transition easier so that they can establish and maintain their quality of life after critical care.
