Overview
As an anesthesiologist who specializes in perioperative medicine, I currently serve as director of the Perioperative Anesthesia and Surgical Screening (PASS) clinic and PeriOperative Enhancement Teams (POET). Our large multidisciplinary team is the foundation of an internationally renowned perioperative and population health program that provides value-based, high-quality care to Duke patients in need of surgery or procedures under anesthesia. I seek opportunities to improve patients’ long-term health via a holistic approach focused on enhancing each patient’s physical and mental resilience, and I enjoy creating cross-disciplinary collaborations to improve patient outcomes.
