Julien Fischer

Julien Fischer is PhD Candidate in the Program in Literature at Duke University and a Certificate Student in Feminist Studies. Julien is currently completing a dissertation titled "The Lure of Origins: Sexology and the Trans Autobiographical Mandate" on trans studies and the history of sexology. Julien is a recipient of the Evan Frankel Fellowship, the Dean's Graduate Fellowship, and is a member of the Society of Duke Fellows. 

Julien's research interests include feminist, queer and trans theory and studies, psychoanalysis, history of sexual medicine, and critical theory. Julien's writing has been published or is forthcoming in Feminist Formations, GLQ: A Journal of Lesbian and Gay Studies, Psychoanalysis and History, and Feminist Theory.
