Kent Foss
Instructor of Music
Kent Foss is a professional trumpet player in the Triangle-area of North Carolina, frequently performing with the North Carolina Symphony, North Carolina Opera, and Carolina Ballet. Kent performs in a variety of other settings, from playing baroque trumpet at the annual performance of Handel's Messiah at Duke Chapel, to performing with touring Broadway shows at the Durham Performing Arts Center. As a soloist, he has presented performances in England, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Canada, and throughout the United States. Kent Foss serves on the music faculties of Duke University and North Carolina State University, and his scholarly articles and music arrangements have been published by the International Trumpet Guild and Hickman Music Editions.
