Archival Expeditions Fellowship · August 2018 - May 2019 Rubenstein Library · $2,000.00 Michael is working in collaboration with archivists at the Rubenstein library and with Dr. Clare Woods (Duke Classical Studies) to develop and then teach a new archives-based Greek literature component for Dr. Woods' History of the Book course (CLST 360). The module focuses specifically on Greek literary papyrology. It introduces students to the ancient process used to create the papyri, to ancient scribal methods for writing bookrolls, and to the modern methods used by papyrologists to read and understand these ancient documents.
