Senior Lecturing Fellow
Deanne Morgan teaches introductory legal research courses. Ms. Morgan received her undergraduate degree in political science from East Tennessee State University, her J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law, and her master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois. Ms. Morgan clerked for Judge James A. Knecht, a member of the Illinois Appellate Court, served as corporate counsel and chief compliance officer for Illinois HealthCare (an HMO), and practiced health law with Saint and Carmichael, a Bloomington, IL-based firm. She currently teaches Intellectual Property in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at North Carolina Central University. She joined Duke Law as a Lecturing Fellow in August 2013.
Ms. Morgan is a member of the Illinois Bar.
