Nathan Hershberger

Nathan Hershberger is a Ph.D. student in the Graduate Program in Religion.  His major area of study is Christian Theology and Ethics.  His minor areas of study are Political Theory and Islamic Studies.  His research focuses on hermeneutics, suffering, and political theology in the Christian tradition. 

Nathan graduated from the University of Virginia with an MA in Religion in 2014 and completed a BA in History and Theology from Eastern Mennonite University in 2012.  Before coming to Duke he served for three years in northern Iraq as the Education and Peacebuilding Coordinator with Mennonite Central Committee.
