Overview


Nikita Kohli is a fifth year PhD student in Public Policy, in the Economics concentration. She studies labour markets in developing countries, and her research includes work on labour market institutions and gender-based frictions in employment. Prior to starting at Duke, she worked as a senior research associate with Innovations for Poverty Action in Kenya and Uganda, and then as a research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. She has worked on projects spanning financial inclusion, female labour force participation, and technology adoption. She holds a BA in Economics from St. Xavier's College (Mumbai), and an MA in International and Development Economics from Yale University.
