I am a Ph.D. candidate in English affiliated with the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. My research explores the literature, political theology, and public rhetoric of Reformation-era London, focusing on drama, liturgy, pamphleteering, and sermon cycles. I will defend my dissertation, Performing the Protestant State: Preaching and Playing from Marprelate to Milton
, in May 2021. I previously completed an M.A. at the University of Virginia in medieval literature, and a B.A. (Hons., summa cum laude
) at Hillsdale College. I will be teaching at Hillsdale as a Visiting Assistant Professor in 2021-22.
