Renee Ragin

Renee Michelle is a PhD student in the Program in Literature and is pursuing a Certificate in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. Her areas of interest include contemporary world literature, collective violence, and political identities. Her current research project concerns the official and literary histories of the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990). Renee received her Bachelor's in History and Literature with a Certificate in Spanish from Harvard in 2010 and was a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State before coming to Duke.
