Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Student in Economics, 2018-Present
As a fifth-year Economics PhD student, I am performing research in industrial organization and health economics. My dissertation work highlights the role of administrative burdens in medical practice and the health care industry. I am also interested in the dialysis industry, in which my coauthors and I highlight the consequential role of financial, regulatory, and legal incentives.

In my time at Duke, I have previously served as a teaching assistant for ECON 701 and 704, the core microeconomic theory sequence for first-year Economics PhD students, as well as a multiple courses for the MBA and MSQM programs at the Fuqua School of Business. I also developed and recorded the asynchronous content for a course in the online MSQM program at Fuqua.

Prior to coming to Duke, my research focused on economic development in Brazil. I am currently continuing and extending this research.
