Overview

As a board-certified medical and surgical dermatologist, I have over 45 years of experience in helping patients maintain healthy skin. I have special expertise in managing patients with many moles and in the early detection and treatment of skin cancers, such as basal and squamous cell cancers as well as melanoma.  To this end, I use a technique called dermoscopy in which a hand-held, illuminated magnifier is used to analyze moles and other skin lesions to help make a diagnosis and to decide if a biopsy might be needed or not.

Prior to moving to North Carolina in 2016 to be closer to family, I ran a private dermatology practice in Boca Raton, Florida, which I started in 1979. I was also an affiliate professor in the dermatology department at the University of Miami, where I practiced pediatric dermatology and also ran the pigmented lesion clinic for many years.
